Our friend and advisor Gisela Williams, was #onassignment in Mallorca earlier this month. She says, “It’s hard to imagine a more spectacular studio than this one designed by the Catalan architect Josep Lluis Sert for his friend the artist Joan Miró. It’s part of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró on the outskirts of Palma, the capital of Mallorca, which also includes a maze-like contemporary museum dedicated to Miró and conceived by the Spanish architect Rafael Moneo. Above both buildings is a garden and an 18th century finca called Son Boter that Miró also used as studio space. Wandering through this visionary complex is as close as it gets to entering Miró‘s intimate universe. It’s worth coming here just to see the architecture.” #joanmiro #mallorca #fundaciopilarijoanmiro #palma #sculpturegarden #finca #willtravelforart #inspiration #wanderlust #artiststudio #architecture #joseplluissert #atelier #bucketlist #onlyravereviews
